Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
I respect your privacy and keep things simple. This page explains what information I collect on this website, why, and what you can do about it.
Who I am
This website, diykitcheninstalls.com, is run by me, Lars Rannes, operating as Kitchens by Rannes in Ontario, Canada. If you have any questions about your information, email me at info@kitchensbyrannes.com.
What I collect
When you join the waitlist, I collect the email address you enter in the sign-up form. That’s it. I don’t ask for your name, address or payment details on this website.
How I use your email address
- To let you know when my IKEA kitchen installation guide opens.
- To send you an occasional email when I post a new installation video.
I will never sell, rent or share your email address with anyone for their own marketing.
Your consent
You sign up yourself, and you confirm your subscription by clicking the link in the confirmation email. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing.
Where your email address is stored
My email list is managed by Kit (kit.com), an email service based in the United States. Your email address is stored on Kit’s servers and may be processed outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. Kit also records basic information about my emails, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, which helps me understand what’s useful to you.
How long I keep it
I keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Access, correct or delete your information by emailing me at info@kitchensbyrannes.com. I’ll respond within 30 days.
Cookies and outside services
I don’t use advertising cookies on this website, and I don’t sell or share data with advertisers. A few outside services are involved:
- Google Fonts: the text on this site uses fonts loaded from Google’s servers, which means your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address with them.
- Kit: the sign-up form is provided by Kit, which receives the information you submit.
- YouTube: links to my YouTube channel take you to YouTube, where Google’s privacy policy applies.
Keeping your information safe
I take reasonable care to protect your information and only use trusted services to store it. No system is completely secure, but I do my best to keep your details safe.
Changes to this policy
If I make changes to this policy, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
